Make the videos and posts that show developers what they can build with Shopify data.

About ShopLens

ShopLens gives developers and AI agents data on any Shopify store through a REST API and an MCP server: traffic and sales estimates, installed apps, theme, live ads, competitors, people, and monitors that fire a webhook when a store changes a price, sells out, or starts a promo. Customers buy credits and spend them per request.

The role

Most people who would pay for ShopLens have never thought of Shopify data as something they can query. You'll show them, with short videos and threads where you build something real with the API or the MCP server: a competitor price tracker, a lead list of stores running Klaviyo, an agent that finds stores that started a promo this week. You own the channels and the publishing calendar.

What you'll do

  • Publish three to four short videos a week on X, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts, each built around a real query or workflow
  • Make one longer YouTube video a month, such as a full build of a Shopify app or an agent workflow
  • Write the scripts, record, and edit them yourself
  • Turn customer use cases into demos, with the customer's permission
  • Track which posts bring signups and API keys, and make more of what works

You'll do well here if

  • You've grown an account or channel about software, AI, e-commerce, or marketing, and can show us the posts
  • You can call an API or write a small script, by hand or with Claude or Cursor, without help
  • You edit your own video and have a style people recognize
  • You publish on a schedule without anyone chasing you

Bonus points

  • You've sold on Shopify, or worked at a Shopify agency or app company
  • You already post about AI agents or MCP

Own organic search, from technical SEO to the guides and data pages that rank.

The role

Developers search for things like “Shopify store traffic API”, “what apps does this store use”, or “track competitor prices on Shopify”. You'll make sure ShopLens is the answer. That means choosing keywords, writing guides and comparison pages, and building pages at scale from our own data, such as public profiles of Shopify stores and of the apps they install.

What you'll do

  • Build the keyword map for developer, agency, and AI-agent searches around Shopify data
  • Write and publish two to four guides, tutorials, or comparisons a month
  • Plan programmatic pages built from ShopLens data and ship them with engineering
  • Own technical SEO for the site and docs: indexing, internal links, structured data, Core Web Vitals
  • Report traffic, signups, and API keys from organic search every month

You'll do well here if

  • 3+ years in SEO for a B2B SaaS or developer product, with results you can point to
  • You've shipped programmatic pages at scale and kept them useful enough to stay indexed
  • You write clearly about technical topics and can read API docs on your own
  • You work daily in Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush, and spreadsheets

Bonus points

  • You've worked on getting cited in AI answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews
  • You know the Shopify ecosystem

Developer Relations EngineerGrowth · Full-time · RemoteApply

Write the quickstarts, samples, and integrations that get developers to their first API call.

The role

A developer who signs up should get a useful response within minutes. You'll own that path: quickstarts, sample apps, and integrations with the tools developers and agents already use, such as the Vercel AI SDK, LangChain, n8n, and Zapier. You'll also be the person developers talk to on GitHub and X when they get stuck.

What you'll do

  • Write and maintain quickstarts and sample apps in TypeScript and Python
  • Build and publish integrations for agent frameworks and automation tools
  • Test the MCP server in Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and other clients, and fix what breaks
  • Answer developers' technical questions and turn the repeated ones into docs
  • Measure time to first successful request and keep cutting it
  • Give talks and run workshops at developer and e-commerce events

You'll do well here if

  • 3+ years as a software engineer, developer advocate, or solutions engineer
  • Fluent in TypeScript or Python, with real work on REST APIs and webhooks
  • You've built LLM agents with tool calling or shipped an MCP server
  • Developers get unstuck reading what you write, and you can show us docs, posts, or repos

Bonus points

  • You've built a Shopify app or theme
  • You maintain an open-source project

Turn signups into paying customers with onboarding, email, and pricing experiments.

The role

Every customer starts with an API key and spends credits from there. You'll own the path from signup to first paid month to upgrade: onboarding emails, in-product prompts, credit and plan experiments, and win-back for accounts that go quiet.

What you'll do

  • Map the funnel from signup to first request, first payment, and upgrade, and find where people drop off
  • Build emails triggered by product events, such as a first monitor created or credits running low
  • Run pricing and packaging tests with the founders: plan limits, credit packs, yearly billing
  • Set up the event tracking and dashboards the growth team works from
  • Interview customers who upgraded and customers who left, and share what you learn

You'll do well here if

  • 3+ years in lifecycle, growth, or product marketing at a usage-based or developer SaaS
  • You've built event-driven emails in a tool like Customer.io, Loops, or HubSpot
  • You answer your own questions with SQL or a product analytics tool like PostHog or Amplitude
  • You set the hypothesis and the success metric before an experiment starts

Bonus points

  • You've worked on credit- or usage-based pricing
  • You've marketed to developers

Partnerships ManagerGrowth · Full-time · RemoteApply

Sign and grow partners that bring ShopLens to their users: agencies, Shopify apps, and AI platforms.

The role

Shopify agencies, app developers, lead-gen tools, and AI agent platforms already work with the people who need ShopLens. You'll find the partners whose product gets better with our data, close the deal, and help them launch the integration.

What you'll do

  • Build and work a pipeline of integration, reseller, and referral partners
  • Negotiate partner terms, from revenue share to volume credit pricing
  • Plan launches with partners: co-marketing, marketplace listings, joint content
  • Run the affiliate and referral program for agencies and creators
  • Report the revenue partners bring in

You'll do well here if

  • 4+ years in partnerships, business development, or sales at a B2B SaaS, ideally one that sells an API
  • You've closed integration or reseller deals and can walk us through how they were structured
  • You understand APIs well enough to explain a use case to a partner's engineers
  • You keep your own pipeline in a CRM and follow up without reminders

Bonus points

  • You know people at Shopify agencies, Shopify app companies, or AI agent platforms
  • You've built an affiliate program from zero

Software Engineer, InfrastructureEngineering · Full-time · RemoteApply

Run the crawlers, queues, and databases that keep Shopify store data fresh and the API fast.

The role

ShopLens collects data from Shopify stores across the web, refreshes it on a schedule, and serves it through the REST API and the MCP server. Monitors check stores and products all day and fire a webhook when something changes. You'll own the infrastructure under all of it: crawling at scale without getting blocked, keeping queues healthy, and keeping the API fast and up.

What you'll do

  • Run and scale the crawling fleet: scheduling, proxy rotation, retries, and per-domain rate limits
  • Own the queues and workers behind monitors so checks run on time and webhooks get delivered
  • Design storage for large, append-heavy datasets and keep queries fast as they grow
  • Manage infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and environments
  • Set up observability, alerting, and on-call, and lead incident reviews
  • Keep the cost per request under control as volume grows

You'll do well here if

  • 4+ years building and running production infrastructure, including on-call
  • Strong with AWS or GCP, Terraform, containers, and Kubernetes or a similar orchestrator
  • You've run Postgres in production and know when a workload needs something like ClickHouse
  • You write production code in TypeScript, Go, or Python, beyond config files
  • You've operated queues or streams (SQS, Kafka, Redis, or similar) under real load

Bonus points

  • You've built large-scale crawling: headless browsers, proxy networks, anti-bot handling
  • You've cut a cloud bill substantially and can explain how
  • You've built rate limiting or usage metering for an API
